Former Technical Sergeant Harry H. “Chip” Gregory, IV, a Georgia native, enlisted in the US Air Force in 1998. His initial assignment was at Whiteman AFB, Missouri with the 509th Security Forces Squadron followed by Moody AFB, Georgia with the 823 Security Forces Squadron. While at Moody, he deployed 4 times as a Fire Team Leader in support of Operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom for a total of 19 months in combat zones. His final assignment was at Robins AFB, Georgia with the 78th Security Forces Squadron and 5th Combat Communications Group. At Robins he was the Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge of the Combat Readiness School and the Group’s Force Protection & Anti-Terrorism Officer. After 13+ years, he left active duty in April 2011 and currently works in the insurance industry. Chip is a charter member of the Georgia Military Veteran’s Hall of Fame.
